| big suprise that they gravitate to a profession where they get authority over other people. Without that they are just nobodies and they know it. Im sure there are tons of good ones, just the ratio is a bit whack. Friend of mine had a cop try to be an asshole just because he could. They had a road closed between one of our teaching hospitals and the childrens hospital due to a charity fun run. My friend was the neurosurgeon on for the day and they had a young boy with a bleed in his head who was quickly coning (dying). He wouldnt let him through even though he showed his credentials and explained the situation. He had to do a big detour, and the cop even wrote him up a ticket for wreckless driving as he did a u turn over the divider to go around. Also went through 2 speeding cameras on the way. As he got there the kid was very close to major brain damage with two blown pupils but they managed to crack his head open just in time. He wrote a letter to the police commissioner and threatened to go to the press. He got a personal apology by the police commissioner and that cop got 6 months of desk work and had to write an apology. The tickets were all thrown away obviously also. I think if the situation permits you should definately make a complaint. Remember these jokers only have the power that WE give them. If you dont stand up for yourself by making a complaint then you shouldnt be insulted when they abuse their power.
